NEXT STEPS TO A FAIR CONTRACT

Negotiating committees from Local Lodges W349 and W475 (with representatives from W401 on the telephone) met with IAM staff on Monday the 11th in Memphis. Also present to help plan strategy to go forward was IAM Administrative Assistant Rod Kelty. In a meeting that lasted all afternoon, plans were made to begin a strategy to convince G-P and its Koch owners that decent healthcare, wages and other contract benefits are the “right thing” to do. In the next few weeks, each of you will be asked to show your support for each other and your union. Ever increasing efforts will be made to convince G-P that it should honor its past commitments to its employees. All members and other employees have a lot at stake in winning a fair contract! Employees who are not members of the IAM should join and help us win a fair contract! We have too much to lose for some to sit back and let the others do it all.

--THE HOLIDAYS ARE HERE--

HAVE A SAFE AND JOYOUS CHRISTMAS SEASON!!

With all the turmoil brought by G-P’s layoffs and other problems, please be extra careful as you work, travel and enjoy this great season! We should all remember our fellow members and co-workers who are less fortunate.

WATCH FOR UPDATES AS WE GO FORWARD
